Nice...But I don't Understand...

Since when did you and Blue Hippo go sour? When I usually hear or see you guys, you are usually together as great friends. I remember you guys playing a prank on the grumpy Gost and laughing at him in the flash epic "Death of P-bot". You were(or at least in my eyes) two of the most radiant members from the Star Syndicate. Sometimes when I would look through your reviews, I would see you guys giving each other constuctive criticism like all good NGers. What has turned you two into bitter foes?
Now as for your the flash, it begins with Blue Hippo recieving a birthday present from Zecky. However, the note attached does not contain a warm message of love and affection, but a sour flaming insult. Still, Hippo decides to take a curious peek and ....BWAAAAH! It's a Piclownjew attack! Hippo then runs for his dear life from the nasty little bugger.
Overall, the characters were drawn and painted well for an above average quality, and the story pacing ran smoothing. My only gripe was that this was a bit short, but I am sure Blue Hippo will like this birthday flash none the less.

lmao wow you totally missed the point if you think me and hippo dont like each other

Listen Up NGers! This is the Way to Pwn...

Crappy flash animators invest NG, but the point is to mold them into better people with constructive criticism. I remember back in the day when SBC sent in the legnedary spam movie "B". Thanks to that and the major events that followed we now have the spam group counter-culture. The lessons learned from those ages long ago is that we must remain alert when voting responsibly on entries, and to be overall judgemental on one capabilities, but not on what that person may be wearing on his avatars face(be it Clock, or Lock).
Although crappy animators get unnecessary spotlight, it ticks me off more when some equally noobish boar-brained amateur makes an "anti-Spam Group" movie, which just so happens to be a crappily animated short about a stick man killing a Clock/Kitty/Star/Whatever. The said movie happens to less funny then the satirized clans, which defeats the whole "anti-spam" message.
This animator however, takes things seriously. He vividly illustrates and animates his threatening hostile jungle territory. Not only that, but he gives us delightfully funny characatures of the Kitty Krew's top members. In a visually stunning display of hunt and kill, they are taken out by Spider-man and Venom in fully hand drawn-animated glory. It is this kind of feat that helps battle the so called morale of todays spam groups. When amateurs submit crappy movies about how much they hate the Spammers, it is the spammers that win with the ridicule and bickery. When people submit movies that done as swell as this one, they prove to the world for what the spam groups actually are, a bunch of talentless attention-seeking nobodies. Afterwards, those talentless nobodies start to show talent, and become somebodies. My gripe about this movie is that the artist should come up with his own superheroes/superadversaries, unless he is actually employed at Marvel.

Needs a Little Work.

My advice would be to improve your artstyle, try to define your ability to shade objects so that you can make a laser look more like a laser and less like a solid noodle. Keep in mind that a laser is basically light so incorporate a glow effect. Next I would advise you to improve the animations a bit from this. The funny thing about this is that I have a feeling that the ordinary joe at the end is going to use the watch and live out his life as a wacky superhero, but thats just a hunch. Something in this tells me you play Metroid, but thats a hunch as well.

Chag responds:

Good advice on how to improve the noodle beam, and yes I have improved a fair bit since I first made it so I do use things like shading and voice acting now :P

And my god you were right on in both hunches, Average joe Billy most certainly becomes Mecho man and yes needless to say I was quite into Metroid before I made this and the various tracks seem to suit it quite well.

Thanks for the feedback :)

Ho Hum, It's Been Done.

This "Rupee Clock is a furry" joke has already been said and done to death. I may not have much knowledge of the backstory behind the joke, but I've heard it before. I thought the prancing image of Rupee Clock with fox ears and a tail claiming "I'm a Furry." was hilarious, but alas it has become old and recycled, just like Phoenix Wrong and Toof. I found the image of Rupee Clock to have been professionaly painted and put together with swell presentation, but this film is too short. Besides, a pseudo-spiritual "oblivion" background may look nice, but it is far too easy to make.

ShroomUzi responds:

RUPEE CLOCK WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT THERE WERE NO CLOCKS IN THIS MOVIE

A Nightmare with a Pinch of Deep-fried Erieness.

Let me remind everyone that this is in no way hippie propaganda because if it was, it would have been very colorful and have involved apple throwing mantises. Now this on the other hand would probably be in the gothic categorey considering its bleakness and scar laden imagery. Nonetheless, the animation is done with a painstaking hand drawn effort and the effort shows. The characters have a simplified look reminescent of a couple Friends Society shorts. The Ronald McDonald/Burger King hybrid monster is sure to compete with the likes of Freddy Kruegar.

colomir responds:

hein ?! es-tu Yoda !? :) :P (joke)

Beetles Now? Oh Brother...

This was nothing more then a group member digitally killing another group member. I admit, this group wars thing is funny. Yet it seems as some things are getting out of hand. Newgrounds is turning into a warzone of personal avatars.

Cute, but has Poor Execution.

So you are going for a surreal look eh? Well, I say that your backgrounds quite abstract, but your characters look poorly drawn. Usually, I go for more defined surrealism, because that is the point of sur-"real"-ism, it is sopposed to be beyond reality. However, that roll baby was quite colorful and I found it to be quite adorable as it giggled while rolling back and forth. By the way, that musical score at the end was pretty weird, but tight. Whats the name of it?

Say No to Drugs Kids...

Quite a brilliant joke on an overlooked/oft quoted scene from a hyper special fx sci-fi action flick that everyone loves.

An Amateur Collab Thats Half Hell and Sorta Swell.

Six Mini-Shorts, a gaggle of gags and fruity loops. Expect a pint of Piclownjew in this flash delicacy. My favorite out the six would be the one with the hurricane because it had a ton of power in it. That author did a fine job of wind fx.

Abuse it for good, never for evil.
