2 and a Half Classic Games in One Pack... But...

Where's the music? C'mon now! Doom's soundtrack is a heavy metal MIDI masterpiece! Why leave it out? Shooting up demons in Doom is not as fun to me without MIDI renditions of stolen riffs from other bands.

This really is a good game here...

...But there is just one major flaw. The levels, they drag on for too long. Just make the levels shorter. Otherwise this game is innovative with it 3 character switching methods. You have a long range weak attack character(Pico), a short range strong attack character(Darnell), and a deflective character used to deflect projectiles(Nene). Each characer comes into use when going up against some the various creatures of pure madness you go up against. I just loved the expression the internet Explorer man was making, it was priceless. Swell animated, swell drawn, and swell gameplay makes for a swell game.

HOLY CRAP WOWIEKAZOWIE!

The levels are so detailed and beautifully crisp with destruction and mayhem, and the sprite is so detailed and the effects look really cool! And the camera zooms in everywhere like a spaz because it can't handle the pulse pounding action! Anyway, the gameplay is very simple, you walk and double jump your way across a suspend platform while shooting robot enemies, avoiding pitfalls, and collecting awesome upgrades till you get to a boss which you defeat by even more shooting. Maybe not much innovation in gameplay terms, but this game is worth playing just because of your sprite alone. I mean seriously, he looks so good, I can't believe I'm actually moving him!

Basically Soviet Missile Launcher...

That humorous, USSR based, retrotastic missile simulator minigame from Alien Hominid... Only with a twist that may or may not involve cooking my dog with MSG. It's very basic, your goal is to hit the USA while avoiding birds, planes, and copters. Only the up or down arrows are used. It is very Atari.

Awesome! Robo-Dinos That Shoot Lazors When Roaring

Besides shoop da woop, it doesn't get ay awesomer than that. Great soundtrack, and all around fun to play. Choose one of two dinos with different wave styles(Straight Tyrannosaurus X or Wavy Dino-Mite) and blast a bunch of small enemies through one level as your energy automatically recharges as you fire. Sure it is short, but it is like Dino Saucers, only 10 times better.

This Is Fun, And Tom Would Love This.

This is great tribute to text adventures like Zork, only this game actually has graphics with a retrotastic 8 bit look with 8-bit style computer music that is simply fitting. I kept failing and failing and failing, but even when I did it kept me going because that losing horn from the price is right is the epitome of funny. So I think you have to put the gloves by first typing "take gloves", and then typing "put on gloves", but when I "Take blindfold", I can't seem to "give blindfold to Tom" or anything. I'm stuck, but take my word and give this game a try. It may not be well animated or anything, but it is a loving tribute to an NG milestone.

This One's A Treasure Alright.

So anyway, you play as this little treasure hunting guy in this breath taking fantasy world. There also some interesting creatures like mole people, and there are subtle clues of back story laid within some passages. The game is controlled like a 2-d platformer. Only you don't die because there are no enemies. Some might actually put this in the genre of adventure, which suits it quite nicely since most of it is about helping some of the villagers and solving puzzles. The puzzles you encounter in this gaem are a different kind of puzzle. For instance, there is this basic puzzle where you jump on a see saw like platform, you move to one side so that you can raise the other with your weight. You then quickly jump onto the other side, and jump off and onto the stable ground on the other side of the pit. The music is good too, definitely give this one a try.

Kinda Reminds Me Of The Old Days Of NG...

Basically, there was some pretty basic stuff when there was nothing but flash 5 to work with. There is a lot of dated stuff, but it interesting to look at since it shows how much the community has been improving over the years...(sorta). Anyway the author has made a very one dimensional, but basic adventure text that works. I would suggest making a game with more multiple paths to choose, A little more interactivity(drag&drop items), some music, better art, and a well written story. So far the author has mastered text, graphics, and buttons. So she is off to an okay start!

Quite Frankly... This Is Space Invaders...

Plain old space invaders. Nothing groundbreaking or any new twists added to give a fresh spin. Yet only faithful rendition of Taito's classic, Space Invaders. On the authors behalf this game is not original in anyway, but at least it is not broken. That shows some competence and is a good sign for an Actionscript beginner.

It's Like DMC, Only Knocked Down A Dimension.

Please accept this nine with some pride in your profession. This really is a fun game, and it plays just like Capcom's brilliant demonic hyper combo tastic 3rd person platform brawler, Devil May Cry. Everything from the grade system(Dull-Absolutely Bloodthirsty), to the wise cracking protagonist, the babes, the gun slinging, the sword fighting, the neat tricks, and everything only stripped from the 3rd dimension onto a 2-d playing field. This game might be really fun to play, but I think the story is a little cheesy. Still, the comic artwork shows some skill nonetheless, and attempted exposition is good even with cliched "I'm your father storylines". There is one huge glaring problem with this game however, it is glitched, very very GLITCHED. I remember sometimes beating levels, yet the game freezes at times. That rather frustrates me. I also beat this game but I did not get the victory achievement. I swear some of the achievements don't activate even if you meet the requirements. I also upgraded a magic skill to maximum, no achievement. You must really work this out because this is really a fun game. Devil May Cry ripoff? Sure. But that is the point. The point is that you can taste the awesome action of Devil May Cry in a free online flash game. And it is a rather good tribute I must say. Capcom should be proud of their fans.

Abuse it for good, never for evil.
